The benefits specialist is responsible for assisting with the administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and 401(k) plan.

• Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.
• Performs quality checks of benefits-related data.
• Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes.
• Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
• Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities.
• Responds to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts.
• Assists with the open enrollment process (may require travel by vehicle or air)
• Provides necessary reports for allocation/billing charges.
• Manages the Minimum Essential Coverage health plan offerings to full-time and part-time employees, as well as other voluntary benefit offerings.

• 5 years of Benefits support experience
• Effective, English written and verbal communication skills
• Time management, Organization, Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities
• Sound judgement and problem-solving
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Solid excel skills including pivot tables, v-lookups, retrieving information from multiple large data sets
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
• Experience with SAP EC is helpful

• Sedentary position, working with computers for up to 90 of time
• May be required to travel by vehicle or air during open enrollment
