Akima Intra-Data (AID) is the prime service provider for the Base Operations Support contract at Keesler AFB, MS. The Budget Analyst position reports directly to the Business Manager and performs work onsite. This is a team-oriented position that serves in the Business Operations Management office responsible for subcontracting, procurement, project control, and human resources. The Budget Analyst position requires a person with initiative, self-motivation, adept financial and analytic knowledge and background, and keen attention to detail. This position also supports AID workforce as the site Human Resources representative.


Responsibilities

  • Analyzes business operations requirements.
  • Assesses current practices, collects information and analyzes trends to determine and assist with managing program and contract objectives and critical paths.
  • Write standard operating procedures, design new projects/programs, and annotate risk by analyzing requirements, contracts, fiscal sources, and agreements.
  • Makes recommendations to improve systems and business outcomes.
  • Prepares detailed technical reports and summarizes information and trends.
  • Performs work under direct supervision to the point of delegation.
  • Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. 
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of various business reports and dashboards, utilizing reporting tools and software.
  • Collect and analyze data to identify trends, anomalies, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for business processes.
  • Collaborates with cross- functional teams to gather data and information needed for reporting and analysis.
  • Generates routine and ad-hoc reports for internal stakeholders to support decision- making.
  • Ensures data accuracy and integrity in all reports and analyses produced.
  • Assists in documenting and standardizing business processes to facilitate reporting and analysis.
  • Provides support in identifying areas for process improvement based on data analysis.
  • Assists in the development of process documentation, flowcharts, and procedures.
  • Works both independently and as part of a team with eagerness to learn and adapt to new reporting.
  • Performs accurate and efficient data entry tasks, inputting a variety of information into databases, spreadsheets, and other digital platforms.
  • Verifies and cross-checks data for errors, completeness, and consistency, ensuring a high level of accuracy and data integrity.
  • Develops visual charts, graphs, and/or diagrams to represent data (i.e., financial, schedule, etc.,).
  • Processes invoices by verifying, coding, and allocating invoices to ensure invoices match purchase orders and avoid duplicate or unauthorized payments.
  • Tracks expenses against purchase orders and funding levels and reconcile as required.
  • Handles contact information and resolve payment-related disputes efficiently to strengthen vendor relationships.
  • Performs site Human Resource Representative (i.e., assist with Timekeeping, In/Out Processing, Corporate HR Collaboration, Random Drug Testing Program, Policy Review/Interpretation, Allowance and Expense tracking, and Safety and Security).

Qualifications

  • Business Administration or similar degree.
  • Intermediate Excel Experience.
  • Pivot Tables.
  • Conditional Formatting.
  • Data Validation.
  • Ability to use common formulas (xlookup, sumifs, countifs, etc).
  • MS Office Suite Software (Word, Power Point, Project, Teams etc.).
  • Intermediate Power BI experience is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Earned Value Management is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Human Resource Management experience.
  • Candidates should be customer, service, and team oriented, and detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy.
