As Business Analyst Distribution you will be part of the Distribution Technology team which is situated between IT and the business. Distribution Technology is the backbone of the sales processes for direct and indirect channels. We have launched a major project in 2016: New Distribution Capabilities which aims to create a new channel for indirect sales (travel agencies). NDC is an initiative launched by IATA followed by the main airlines in Europe. This project is for Air France-KLM and the whole distribution and travel community an important change based on a new technology that will enhance the capacity of communications between Air France-KLM and travel industry.
Our team is organized in the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) way of working, and need to be reinforced with a Business Analyst. Do you dare to make decisions, take initiative and have strong analytical skills? Can you translate requirements into solutions towards IT? Then we are looking for you!
As a Business Analyst NDC you are the advisory board and driving force between Business and IT. You carry out feasibility studies independently to see whether the advice you have given actually works. As a Business Analyst you discuss, present, defend, challenge, refine, test and implement business requirements. In this position, you are a connecting factor between all kind of stakeholders and teams. Hence, you also have a lot of contact with internal parties, such as Product Owners and API teams and external partner such as Amadeus and our partner airlines. In addition to your strong advice- and analysis oriented skills, you can think in solutions and are capable to see the broader picture.
You will be part of the amazing team of Core Distribution and NDC (New Distribution Capabilities), spread over France and the Netherlands with 7 colleagues based in Amstelveen and 6 colleagues based in CDG.
First of all: You have high affinity with IT! You are able take an investigative approach to analysis; dare to go beyond the available information and look beyond the context of a problem. Furthermore, you have good analytical skills and you are able to break down complex problems/issues into small pieces. You are able to play a coordinating role and manage all different kind of stakeholders. Taking initiatives in order to improve processes and application? You enjoy and thrive doing so by making use of your hands-on mentality and agile mindset. You are an expert in time management and are flexible and result-oriented.
Further you have:• a WO degree or intellectual ability• 2 years experience in working in a reservation/ticketing domain• strong English communication skills, both written and verbal• knowledge of and experience with Altea Reservation systems• knowledge of Reservation and ticketing processes Air France-KLM
• no issues with traveling on a frequent base• the ability to switch between ad-hoc analysis tasks and a structured project based approach, working fully independent on business critical tasks and in a multi-disciplinary team• the capacity to thrive in a scale-up environment: adapt quickly, take ownership of your work
