Business Analyst
Location: Preston/ Hybrid
Contract: Initial 12-month contract

About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a major transformation and delivery programme within a complex engineering environment. This role will suit someone who can work confidently with stakeholders, analyse business needs, and translate requirements into clear, practical outputs that support successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business processes, challenges, and objectives.
• Gather, document, and manage business and functional requirements.
• Analyse existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support the development of business cases, options analysis, and change documentation.
• Facilitate workshops, meetings, and stakeholder engagement sessions.
• Produce clear documentation, including process maps, requirements specifications, and reports.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure requirements are understood and delivered effectively.
• Support testing, implementation, and transition activities where required.

Skills and Experience
• Previous experience as a Business Analyst within a complex project or programme environment.
• Strong requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to translate business needs into clear requirements and actionable deliverables.
• Experience working in engineering, defence, manufacturing, infrastructure, or similarly regulated environments would be advantageous.
• Confident using standard business analysis tools and techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Due to the urgent nature of this role candidates will require SC Security Clearance
