Job description

The Buyer 3 - Senior Analyst Procurement

The Buyer is responsible for the day-to-day management of suppliers, managing supplies, flows and stock of the products in the portfolio assigned to him/her in compliance with the objectives of optimizing cost, stock level, lead time, quality, and safety, thus contributing to customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and process the results of the Net Requirements Calculation

  • Develop and ensure compliance with delivery schedules.

  • Determine and communicate the forecasted needs to the suppliers by ensuring the consistency of the data, by analyzing the variations from one period to another and by adapting the horizon to the suppliers delivery cycle.

  • Initiate Delivery Calls and serial life purchase requests by applying the conditions negotiated by the buyer with the suppliers after analysis and adjustment, if necessary, of the system proposals.

  • Monitor production forecasts (series, new product launches, industrial transfers) to ensure deliveries and product availability to meet customer needs without generating obsolete stock.

  •  Within the framework of contracts with entrusted supplies, to ensure the good supply of raw materials in the respect of the delivery cycles.

Monitor delivery calls:

  • Monitor the receipt of Supplier Acknowledgements, analyze them, negotiate, if necessary, then enter the agreement in the ERP and send the amendment to the supplier.

  •  Follow up with suppliers in advance to ensure that product delivery dates are respected.

  • Ensure that the delivery deadlines are correctly positioned and if necessary, cancel / adjust the resource elements considering the contractual conditions.

  • Take charge of the daily collaboration (quantity, deadline) with suppliers to ensure operational efficiency.

  • In the event of an emergency request, negotiate with suppliers for lead times outside the production cycle, having prepared the negotiation levers (quantities, dates, prices, revision of the overall delivery schedule) beforehand. In case of need to look for an alternative source, he will have to contact the buyer. For any special part supply, breakdown service, equivalent product, the supplier will carry out a DA and the order will be validated by the buyer.

  • Coordinate the treatment of the disputes Reception/Invoicing (Qty / Delay / Return Quality).

Be the interface with the production:

  • Carry out the reporting of the realized and forecasted supply states in the short term.

  • Analyze and anticipate supply shortages on production lines by linking them to the real needs of the Scheduling and Planning departments.

  • Implement and manage action plans, recovery plans and apply the escalation process to the factory buyer in agreement with his/her hierarchical superior in case of difficulties in resolving the problem.

  • Following an alert from the warehouse, quality problem, ensure the replenishment of parts to avoid stock shortages.

  • Inform the production and coordinate actions.

Optimize stocks while making the supply chain more reliable:

  • Define and communicate to the buyer, in agreement with his/her line manager, the logistical elements (logistical protocol, logistical family, type of transport, packaging, level of security, delivery schedule, expiry date, etc.) necessary for contractual negotiations (Purchasing) with the aim of optimizing flows.

  • Control the supply parameters (batch size, kanban sizing, security level, etc.) and the replenishment method (deterministic, kanban, order points, VMI, consignment) to optimize availability and stock levels.

  • Analyze the stocks of perishable materials and ensure their proper management to limit destruction and stock shortages.

  •  Analyze monthly on its portfolio the valuation of the stocks of bought products, of the dormant and obsolete stocks, to seek axes of optimization, to lead the plan of associated actions validated by its hierarchical superior and to report to him.

  • To be responsible for the value of the inventory in its perimeter

Manage the OTD Supplier performance on its portfolio :

  • Keep activity and performance indicators up to date (reporting to his/her hierarchy and informing purchasing for action in case of problems), look for the causes of drift and propose appropriate solutions.

  • Analyze and collaborate on the OTD with suppliers, report to the site buyer and his/her hierarchical superior the suppliers that are not meeting the objective to define the action plans to be implemented.

  • Prepare the periodic performance reviews with the Purchasing plants.

  • Participate in or organize periodic performance reviews with suppliers on Daher sites and/or on supplier sites.

  • Make proposals and participate in projects, audits and progress plans carried out by the Purchasing teams with our suppliers.

  • Carry out activity reporting, fill in monitoring indicators (OTD, stock level, Delay, AR, Advance/Postpone, etc.), contribute to the analysis of results and alert in the event of drift.

  • Identify and propose solutions for improvement in its business.

  • Ensure the quality of the material parameters in conjunction with Purchasing and the Technical Data Department.

Profile and other information related to the position

Technical Skills:

  • Use of ERP and customer portals

  • Mastery of MRP2, JIT and Pull Flow models

  • Knowledge of national and international logistics regulations (customs, transport of goods, etc.)

  • Use of Excel VBA

  • Adaptation to a technical environment

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree &43; 2/3 (Quality and Industrial Logistics) with 2 to 3 years of experience
