Job Description:
  • Demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of NALCOMIS/OOMA aircraft maintenance software, data base management, reports, and processes.
  • Maintain aircraft log books, Aeronautical Service Records and historical/commercial service records IAW contract requirements.
  • Must have ability to transfer FAA logbook data to Navy logbooks.
  • Screen aircraft flight records, update computer data base and transcribe data to aircraft logbooks.
  • Screen completed work orders for logbook entry data and configuration control update data.
  • Update computer database to reflect installed and removed items.
  • Initiate and maintain engine records.
  • Initiate and maintain aircraft record “A” cards.
  • Maintain Aircraft Inventory Reporting System reports.
  • Maintain aircraft/engine management reports as required, to include x-rays.
  • Process readiness data source documents.
  • Maintain the aircraft configuration status accounting program which includes compliance with required Technical Directive work orders.
  • Provide information from aircraft and engine logbooks and electronic database for safety, engineering investigations, aircraft discrepancy reports and technical publication deficiency reports.
  • Maintain files of correspondence, directives, and records.
  • Monitor and assist the line move crew when operating inside the hangar.
  • May be required to use hazardous materials in performance of assigned duties.
  • Responsible to Logs & Records Supervisor and Manager in performing duties assigned.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work center and around your assigned work area.
  • Must comply with established General and Industrial Safety Rules and Regulations as applicable to the contract, facilities and job assignment.
  • Document work accomplished on government and company electronic and/or manual Information Systems
  • Assist in ensuring the safety, security, inventory and preservation of Government owned and Company owned equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with established Maintenance/Work Instructions
  • Provide data for Monthly Maintenance Plan and other Government CDRLs (reports) as required by Contract.
  • Must have an extensive working knowledge of COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series, OPNAV 3750 series, applicable ISO, Federal Aviation Regulations, and Navy Instructions.
  • Must be able to utilize card files and common office equipment.
  • Responsible for adherence to and enforcement of the Tool Control Program.
  • Responsible for adherence to and enforcement of the FOD Prevention Program.
  • Adhere to and enforce all Company and Government regulations to ensure personnel safety and the security and preservation of Government and Company-owned equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with required Quality Control policies and inspections.
  • Perform all other position related duties as well as other projects and initiatives as assigned.
  • Maintains the highest ethical, personal and professional standards
  • **MUST BE ABLE TO MAINTAIN A DOD SECURITY CLEARANCE**
  • Must meet any other qualification standards imposed by the government contract not covered by this agreement.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint to generate, compile, analyze and evaluate facts and data using statistical and research methodologies
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate.
  • Must have ability to develop professional relationships with management, peers, vendors, subcontractors, and customers
  • Must be able to work weekends, other shifts, and overtime as required.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and Company proprietary data.
  • Must adhere to Company policies/procedures and management instruction.
  • Physical requirements:
  • Primarily office environment. Must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.
  • At times, must be able to work in aircraft hangar environment and board / exit aircraft. At times, must be able to climb, bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and stoop. Must be able to walk particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another. Must be able to work primarily with fingers such as typing. Must be able to work at heights, subject to noise, subject to a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, work on scaffolding, exposure to heat/cold.
