Boeing Global Services (BGS) is searching for a Dangerous Goods Compliance Specialist (Associate or Mid-Level) to join the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) team in Dallas, TX or Coppell, TX.

The selected candidate will ensure that our sites comply with various Dangerous Goods (DG) regulations around the world.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Reviews, analyzes and maintains Dangerous Goods (DG) data to ensure compliance with regulations, including 49 CFR, ADG, ADR, CA TDG, NZ TDG, ICAO/IATA, IMO/IMDG and others

  • Supports interactions with regulatory agencies

  • Conducts information exchanges to partner with operations, sales and procurement to improve related processes

  • Tests new technologies and processes to support the development of strategies and tactics for minimizing risk

  • Supports program reviews, investigations, internal audits and corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence of incidents

  • Prepares permit applications

  • Assists with education and training to support regulatory and business requirements

  • Collaborates on the impact of new regulations on company operations

  • Provides reports to leadership

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in dangerous goods, regulations and assessments

  • Experience with problem solving

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Applications

  • Availability to travel up to 10-20 both domestically and internationally

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 3+ years of experience as the lead contact with regulatory agencies related to incident investigation and regulatory interpretations

  • Experience with SAP

  • Current DG certifications in place with professional accreditation preferred

  • Capability to work independently, be self-motivated, and effectively work within teams to achieve common goals

  • Team player with the capability to build solid working relationships with multiple stakeholders

  • Strong communication skills, as well as organizational and time management skills

  • Fluent English language skills (both verbally and written); other language skills are a plus

Typical Education/Experience:

Associate (Level 2)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+1 years related work experience , 7 years related work experience, etc.).

Mid-Level (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years related work experience, 10 years related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Shift:

This position is for 1st shift.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range for Level 2: $72,250 – $97,750

Summary pay range for Level 3: $88,400 – $119,600
