The candidate selected for the Data Analyst position will work as a member of the Sustainment Spares Modeling and Demand Planning Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for mining, processing, summarizing and visualizing data in support of program objectives.

This candidate will be responsible for collaborating across multiple teams and interfacing with internal customers to ensure metric/data analysis drive desired performance outcome. This role requires translating customer needs into functional and technical requirements, management of data quality, querying databases, analyzing large datasets, and triaging data issues for timely resolution.
The role also includes maintaining and troubleshooting automated processes to ensure complete product delivery.
Candidate must be a self-starter who can manage tasks and resources and recommend new solutions to existing problems.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (Industrial, Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Etc); Data Science, Data Analysis, Physics, or Mathematics (use of stochastic and deterministic data models) or related technical disciplines with an emphasis in modeling, data manipulation, and/or the application of mathematical and statistical methods to apply to business and risk management problems.

• Coursework or experience with/knowledge (one or more common languages e.g., Python, SQL, and R), statistics (descriptive and inferential), data processing and data visualization
Desired Skills:
• Coursework or experience with/knowledge of conducting performance and cost analysis, Database systems (SQL and NoSQL based), Descriptive statistics and exploratory data analysis
• Coursework or experience in data structures and hierarchies
• Coursework or experience collecting and compiling datasets from disparate data sources into the required data structure.
• Coursework or experience with data analysis via multi-criteria decision modeling including discrete event simulations, statistical & risk analysis, life-cycle cost analysis, performance & cost trade-offs, and business case analysis
• Proficiency with MS Office tool suite.
• Experience managing data quality and configuration control.
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of system databases, data elements and application software solutions to optimize data gathering and analysis.
• Ability to interact with the customer to work through data issues and discrepancies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
• Coursework or experience using statistics, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of or experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
• Desire to learn data management, reporting and data architecture, information architecture, data analytics, programming, and information technology systems

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
