Job Description:
HQ Aero is currently recruiting for experienced DATA CONTROL TECHNICIANS in KANSAS CITY, MO.

Responsibilities:

Under general supervision, the Data Control Technician supports Internal and External Customers in activities of data entry, aircraft records and paperwork control.  Provides customer support to various areas of the company as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Level I Technician:

  • Enters data for customer routine and non-routine cards, including discrepancies and corrective action.
  • Ensures accurate accounting of documents in customer computer systems.
  • Interfiles paperwork in various locations.
  • Maintains sequence requirements for scanning documents and sending to customer.
  • Disassembles paperwork for scanning, performs scanning basics and reassembles completed paperwork for shipping to customer.
  • Sets up preliminary items for data entry and/or scanned records to be used throughout the check.
  • Performs daily housekeeping duties within area and helps maintain a safe working environment.
  • Effective and appropriate conduct with co-workers.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
Level II Technician:
 
Must be able to perform all assigned essential duties of the Data Control Technician Level I in addition to the following essential functions:
  • Completes corrections from maintenance/qc/customer reps in various computer systems.
  • Ensures proper paperwork flow and status according to customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Performs verifications of paperwork with accuracy for data entry and/or completed records.
  • Performs required data entry and/or accounting for paperwork (tally) for multiple customers.
  • Provides good working relationship and communication with operations leadership and customer reps.
  • Scan documents with limited supervision for multiple customers.
  • Interfiles and verifies scanned documents.
  • Ships completed records to customer.
  • Assists internal and external customers with record document requests and questions.
  • Performs routine maintenance on scanners.
  • Performs electronic records data base updates including additions/corrections.
Level III Technician:
 
Must be able to perform all essential duties of the Data Control Technician Level I and II in addition to the following essential functions:
  • Teaches/mentors/coaches Level I and II Data Control Technicians.
  • Resolves questions with minimal assistance.
  • Creates standard of work and training materials.
  • Performs basic planning tasks.
  • Performs both data entry and scanning records.
  • Loads customer records into various means such as cd form, customer ftp sites, and share files.
OTHER DUTIES:

  • Assists with special projects as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

ENVIRONMENT:  

  • The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate to high. 
  • May occasionally work near moving mechanical parts in high, precarious places and may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
  • Employee may be working in a cubicle, enclosed office, or open area. 
  • Floor may be carpeted, bare and potentially uneven surfaces.
Job Requirements:
Level I:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Computer experience and/or training required.
  • Ability to operate general office equipment including personal computer and copy machine.
  • Ability to solve practical problems.
  • Ability to perform data entry functions in a timely manner.
  • Ability to file paperwork in alphabetical/numerical order.
  • General knowledge of MS Office such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and interpret documents in order to perform data entry and filing duties.
  • Ability to carry out a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram and schedule form.
  • Ability to deliver high quality work and be self-motivated.
  • Basic data entry skills.
Level II:
In addition to Level I Knowledge,
  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Minimum of nine (9) months related MRO or airline experience.
  • Basic working knowledge of aircraft and customer specific terminology using available tools.
  • Basic working knowledge of computer systems including Oracle, Gateway and planning site.
  • Ability to prioritize workflow.
  • Skilled working knowledge of data entry requirements for complex maintenance documents including maintenance work orders, parts information, dimensions, deferred maintenance items etc.
  • Ability to complete tasks with minimal assistance. 
  • Proficient in customer data entry, paperwork processing and return to service requirements.
Level III:
In addition to Level I and II
  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Computer experience and/or training required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years related MRO or airline experience.
  • Proficient in multiple customer data entry, paperwork processing and return to service requirements.
