As a Sr Estimator here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in the estimation department. Responsible for providing proposal support for the Defense & Space organization while developing, deploying, and enabling the key processes within Sales and Marketing. Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and profitable business growth. Develop and assess sales support libraries and templates to enable scalable work processes as well as right and fast reporting and financial roll-up.
You will report directly to our Sr Estimating Manager, and you’ll work out of our Aguadilla, Puerto Rico location. This role is eligible for hybrid work mode, except for the first 90 days.
In this role, you will impact the company by ensuring the delivery of accurate project estimates that support the growth and profitability of our defense and space initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and lead the development of Honeywell Defense & Space standard and moderate proposals in response to government, International and commercial solicitations/Requests for Proposal.
- Build, lead and manage virtual teams of multi-functional individuals to deliver comprehensive proposal in a short cycle time.
- Follow a defined and consistent proposal process including proposal planning, leading the kick-off meeting; developing the proposal schedule; process leadership (compliance matrices, outlines, proposal reviews, etc.); assign team tasks, proposal status maintenance; issue resolution; managing production support; post submittal proposal update management.
Travel, up 10, may be expected.

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE:
- 3+ years of proposal process experience
- 3+ years of Salesforce experience
- Ability to read, write and speak English
WE VALUE:
- Bachelors degree in business management, communications or project management preferred
- Experience with business development and/or business execution (Primary contributors to proposals, such as Pricing, Sales, Project Management, Tech Sales, Engineering)
- Prior Aerospace experience preferred - Defense and Space experience is highly preferred
- Ability to quickly form and manage high performing teams
- Experience with diverse team building and virtual coordination
- Ability to train others effectively in the proposal process
- Motivating people to accomplish difficult tasks in a short time
- Able to manage multiple proposal development activities at the same time
- Greenbelt certified
- Knowledge in the areas of Government regulations, facilitation skills, offset requirements, Honeywell products, services and technologies is preferred
