The opportunity
We are seeking a talented EHS Specialist to join the MLSS team to be based in Oakey, QLD.
Responsibilities
- Providing Environmental and Health & Safety subject matter expert advice.
- Supporting internal customers and the MLSS Program on Environmental and Health & Safety processes, issues and regulatory compliance.
- Performing inspection and audits, investigating incidents and providing advice regarding corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence of incidents.
- Coordinating the development and maintenance of EHSMPs in accordance with company requirements and international Environmental and Health & Safety standards.
- Helping to establish a culture that is aligned with EHS objectives, with continuous EHS improvements.
To be successful you will have:
- 5 or more years related work experience.
- Tertiary qualifications in Environment, Health & Safety or a related discipline.
- Extensive knowledge of relevant Environmental and Health & Safety legislation and regulations.
- Energy, passion, problem solving ability with can-do attitude.
- Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.
Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements. An NV1 Security Clearance will be required.
