Responsibilities:
Define learning objectives through needs assessments and performance analysis.
Develop and deliver technical training using diverse instructional methods (in-person, virtual, or hybrid) tailored to adult learners in aerospace manufacturing environments.
Serve as lead instructor in specialized aerospace content areas, such as Electrical, Structural, Quality, Systems, or Functional Testing.
Facilitate learning events by conducting training, coaching sessions, and observing performance to ensure knowledge transfer.
Customize and deploy courseware, presentations, guides, and curriculum, ensuring alignment with business needs and learner outcomes.
Emphasize safety procedures and compliance with all commercial, government, and internal standards during instruction.
Track learner progress, maintain accurate records, and manage class behavior in alignment with company policies.
Conduct Train-the-Trainer sessions to certify additional instructors.
Support performance improvement initiatives by identifying skill gaps and recommending development strategies.
Ensure curriculum compliance with industry regulations, standards, and certification requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience)– e.g., Master’s + 4 years’ related experience or 10 years’ experience without degree
3+ years’ experience in aerospace manufacturing operations or manufacturing support
Experience instructing, coaching, or working as an employee development specialist
Experience creating or delivering leadership development curriculum
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical work instructions
Preferred Qualifications:
Aerospace Manufacturing Certifications or Lean Manufacturing Certifications
Practical experience in Structural, Electrical, Functional Test, Seal, or Systems
Prior work as an aerospace mechanic or technician (e.g., Structure, Electrical, Wing/Spar Assembly)
Background in Needs Assessment and Job Analysis
Regular and predictable on-site attendance is required
