As a member of the Environment, Climate Change and Health & Safety corporate group, the Environmental, Health & Safety compliance senior specialist will play a crucial role in the evolution of CAEu2019s EH&S culture. By assessing and supporting CAE towards itu2019s compliance journey, the incumbent will participate in critical compliance activities as required by CAE EH&S processes and management system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on-site audits, as per CAEu2019s internal audit program, to ensure compliance to EH&S programs and procedures.
  • Coach and guide local management teams during site visits to reinforce compliance to EH&S programs.
  • Work in close partnership with the corporate EH&S regional managers during the program implementation cycle by ensuring completion and analysis of gap assessment and self-audits completed by CAE locations.
  • In collaboration with the EH&S regional managers, track and assess effectiveness and implementation of actions following significant events.
  • Review and analyze Environment data to ensure it is reported as per established requirements and support the assurance process.
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of Environment data, including assurance & calculation of carbon emissions.
  • Provide status reports to ensure timely implementation of corrective actions and completion of data collection campaigns.
  • Continuously work to improve EH&S programs and procedures and data collection processes
  • Analyze data and prepare reports and presentations.

Profile:

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field (Health and safety, environment, engineering, science, etc.).
  • 5 to 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Auditing experience
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 & 45001 as well as working within an EH&S management system
  • Coaching approach & strong communication skills
  • Able to learn and use several software, application and the Microsoft office suite
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent proficiency in Excel and an interest in tools development.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to organize and extract insights from various datasets.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English and French.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Resourcefulness, proactivity, autonomy, and effective time management.

Assets:

  • Available to travel internationally (15-20 of time)
  • Past experience in both Environment and Health and safety
  • Experience in a complex organization across multiple countries and legislations
  • Familiarity with sustainability frameworks (CDP, SASB, GRI, SBTiu2026) and greenhouse gas reporting.
  • Previous experience in an auditing or sustainability-related role.
