Job Description:

SUMMARY

Coordinates and expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies from the warehouse.  Maintain established warranty program by ensuring customers return and repair/overhaul components are completed in a timely manner. Creates outside purchase orders and coordinates shipment and return receipt from vendors for repair and overhaul.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  • Plan and execute purchases as required based on system generated requisitions - Including: obtaining purchase order acknowledgements from suppliers, coordinating the shipment of material for outside processing and contacting vendors to ensure all parts and required documents are delivered on promised dates..
  • Maintains accurate records of all purchasing actions, in compliance with company and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Interfaces with requirements planning, manufacturing, engineering, quality, purchasing, industrial engineering, tooling, liaison engineering, and others to prevent schedule delays, and ensure timely delivery of parts to support production and aftermarket operations.
  • Performs other administrative and clerical tasks such as typing, filing, copying, recording and reconciling reports as required.
  • Reusable production parts - Tracks, issues, and retrieves all reusable production parts at Mesa facility.
  • Process work orders from the warehouse into AMO - verifying correct part numbers and quantity received and correcting as appropriate.
  • Manages the receiving, processing, and inventory control of all inbound parts or core returns.
  • Repair/overhaul: confirm proper paperwork was included, create outside repair order, create shipping document, create electronic file and scan all pertinent documentation for storage in said file.
  • Expedites materials through the warehouse to support production and spares requirements–moves parts, components, assemblies, and other company products or resources into and out of storage, production, and holding areas. 
  • Occasionally required to pick up or drop off parts, or materials from/to local sources.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills appropriate to a customer service role required.
  • Requires the ability to handle multiple priorities at the same time and the ability to follow through on all tasks assigned.
  • Requires proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and JD Edwards systems.
  • Problem solving skills required.
  • Regular attendance required.
  • The ability to understand and follow instructions and the ability to concentrate is required
  • Excellent written, verbal, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to get along with others or to be part of a team.
  • Access to Export Control Information.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • This job requires a minimum of high school education and 1-3 years work-related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
