We are continuously growing our Boeing Engineering Center in Poland, building engineering teams to work across all of our commercial products and services. Boeing Poland is seeking an Experienced Manufacturing Planner to lead high-performing engineering teams based in Rzeszow or Gdansk, Poland.

Profile Description:

  • Develops, implements and maintains various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration.   

  • Cultivate manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives. Expand and integrates suppliers, processes, materials, data and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements. 

  • Reviews and approves supplier data to ensure manufacturing related requirements are met.

  • Improve tooling requirements based on manufacturing and engineering requirements.

  • Manages tools from initial design to end of use disposition.

  • Performs producibility assessments for part or product designs.

  • Provides producibility input to design, manufacturing processes and manufacturing technologies to meet cost and schedules.

  • Develops integrated work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments.

  • Drafts, updates and reviews processes and procedures to support business and regulatory agency requirements.

  • Participates in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies.

  • Supports other team members as mentor/checker to meet engineering commitments.

Position Requirements (Required Skills / Experience):
  • Secondary Technical School Diploma or higher in related field of study (e.g. Manufacturing or Mechanics Technologist, engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry).

  • 1+ years of related work experience.

  • Knowledge of PLM/PDM and Configuration Management principles;

  • Awareness of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities, and data needed for defining delivery configurations;

  • Familiarity with design concepts and techniques (e.g., Concurrent Engineering, Design for Manufacture/Assembly [DFM/A]);

  • Ability of tool functions and capabilities (e.g., indexing, fixturing, handling) to support the manufacturing processes and flow.

  • English language level – intermediate or higher.

  • Existing rights to work in Poland.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelors Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.

  • 3+ years’ experience in an aerospace manufacturing production environment, experience with entire value stream of detail part to assembly integration value stream.• Ability to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, production, and support of products, services, or other deliverables.

  • Basic knowledge of aerospace products development lifecycle and Lean production system principles.

  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) ASME Y14.5-2018, ASME Y14.5-2009 standards.

  • Basic knowledge of the processes and procedures for certification of aircraft, including Federal Aviation Authority [FAA] and foreign regulatory agency (e.g., EASA) requirements.
