The FI Partnerships Analyst  will play a key role in supporting the FI Aeroplan product suite—primarily our cobranded credit cards—by helping deliver an exceptional cardholder experience and driving innovation through new promotions, benefits, and features.

In this role, the successful candidate will contribute to the development of the customer experience strategy across all Aeroplan cobrand portfolios. They will collaborate closely with internal teams and external financial institution partners to shape compelling business strategies and manage the execution of engagement initiatives. This includes supporting objectives related to cardholder acquisition, activation, and ongoing engagement, ensuring alignment with both Aeroplan’s goals and those of our FI partners.

Responsibilities:

Financial Modelling, Business Casing & Strategic Analysis:

    Build and maintain financial models to evaluate cross FI initiatives, new promotional concepts, pricing strategies, and partnership structures.Conduct scenario modelling, sensitivity analysis, and profitability assessments to support investment decisions and portfolio optimization.Develop comprehensive business cases that articulate strategic rationale, financial impact, customer value, and execution considerations.Partner with finance to validate assumptions, refine forecasts, and ensure alignment with organizational financial frameworks.Provide data driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership to guide strategic decision making across the cobrand portfolio.
Cross FI/Network Marketing & Product Delivery:

    Design, scope and manage the execution of integrated cross FI spaneting plans that drive acquisition, engagement, and spend.Ensure seamless execution of initiatives by coordinating across spaneting, product, technology, operations, and external partners.Manage projects to deliver high quality, high value products to spanet on timeWork collaboratively with eCommerce, Marketing and Partnership teams as well as numerous internal and external stakeholders and vendors on a day-to-day basisTogether with the Aeroplan Partner Marketing teams, design and manage the execution of cross-FI spaneting campaigns for engagement, acquisition and retention of cobrand cardholdersDevelop a sound understanding of credit card spanet trends, customer behaviors, product performance, loyalty business models and competitive positioning within the Canadian spanetplace and the broader loyalty and airline industryMake project recommendations based on business casing and sensitivity models to internal and external stakeholdersClosely monitor key performance indicators and identify when additional actions are required to meet business objectives 
Qualifications

    University or college degree, preferably in business or spanetingMinimum 3-5 years of account management and/or analyst related experienceFinancial acumen, sizing business cases, Excel, PowerPoint and Thinkcell skills and PowerPoint skills requiredExperience within Financial Services (Credit Cards) / Travel preferred  Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously involving various stakeholders and cross-functional teamsGood problem-solving skills and superior attention to detailExperience working with partners within collaborative and integrated spaneting environmentsSuperior interpersonal, organizational and communication skillsStrong data-driven thinking and analytical skills  Thrives in a high-volume, agile, and fast-paced environment within a high-performance, results-oriented, passionate and fun-loving/travel-obsessed teamBilingual English / French an asset
