AirPro SAR Services is looking for a FWSAR Training Scheduler to join our team based in Comox, British Columbia, Canada.
AirPro is a joint venture between Airbus Defence and Space and PAL Aerospace, fully dedicated to the successful operation of Canada’s Fixed Wing Search and Rescue Aircraft Replacement (FWSAR) programme. AirPro provides day to-day management of all ISS activities like engineering, logistics, maintenance, training, IT systems, infrastructure and materiel support throughout the product life cycle.
The focus of this role will be on the FWSAR program in alignment training needs of the RCAF on the CC-295 aircraft. The FWSAR Training Scheduler will be responsible for coordinating activities usually coming from different sources (internal or external) conducting to final product/activity. Responsibilities require sound working knowledge of scheduling software and internal procedures to accomplish work activities.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Support the Training Support System Manager (TSSM) in all efforts related to accomplish Training Delivery according to the Integrated Master Schedule approved by Canada
- To schedule all FWSAR Training activities and de-conflict mutual interference for a better client experience
- To solve any issues raised by the customer related to training delivery or to bring it to attention of the Training Centre Operations Team Lead
- Support Training Development Working Group
- To publish the weekly schedule of all training resources located at the FWSAR Training Centre
- Use discretionary judgment to schedule Instructor and Simulator resources for maximum productivity
- Exercise independent judgment in determining and coordinate the assignment of instructor resources to accomplish training, demonstrations, simulator certification, maintenance requirements and others
- Realign and revise costumer, instructor & resource schedules based on the changing requirements of the end users & situations
- Resolve any arising conflicts between scheduling staff and training delivery team
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates with the following experience and skillset:
- 3 years of experience as a Scheduler in a Military Instructional environment
- 3 years experience working in Administrative Support function
- Completion of Secondary School education or equivalent
- Experience in scheduling resources and deconflicting schedules
- Excellent PC skills and familiarity in Microsoft 365 Office Suite
- Strong data gathering and report preparation skills
- Highly organized and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Able to work under pressure and in a constant changing environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and team player attitude essential
- Ability to work autonomously
- Ability to flex working schedule to support FWSAR program demands
- Fluency in Spanish and/or French considered an asset.
