Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Fabrication Specialist to support the Fabrication Emergent Operations Team over the EOSC Wire Shop in North Charleston, South Carolina on Weekend Shift! This position is for a weekend 12-hour day shifts: Friday, Saturday, Sunday; 5:00am-5:00pm.
In this role team members will support the 787 program with wire bundle fabrications to order; these could be custom wire bundles, replacement production bundles or wire bundle modifications. In addition, the shop supports the 787 program with wire re-work to include but not limited to wire replacements, splicing damage, removal and replacement of electrical connectors; along with the many tasks and plans required to perform this re-work on aircraft sections and/or completed aircraft.
Position Responsibilities:
Achieve and maintain level “C” OJT shop requirements
Work as liaison between shop and ME, SCA, IE, and sister shops
Serve as consultant, advisor or SME (Subject Matter Expert)
Support, evaluate and implement alternate solutions to work related issues
Serve as department representative for special projects
Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of a program plan that integrates those activities required to accomplish the department’s specific objectives

This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
Must be willing to work a 3/36 shift scheduled
3+ years of aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing
1+ years of experience of 787 Operations
1+ years of experience with 787 wire fabrication and rework
1+ years of experience with Velocity andother 787 production applications
1+ years of experience working with Microsoft Office Tools (Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word)
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Confined Space Certification and Fall Protection Certification.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience in the use of wiring tooling, equipment and hand tools
3+ years of experience effectively communicating status of parts and material using automated systems and manual reporting methods to ensure parts availability at an accelerated rate in a dynamic environment
3+ years of experience coordinating with various functions to set priorities, expedite and complete production activities to avoid schedule delays
Ability to work independently under general supervision
5S Experience & Knowledge (Lean, Six Sigma a plus)
