Description:Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is seeking a highly motivated senior systems administrator to maintain operation of multi-user / multi-site development environments including Windows/Linux system administration and High Performance Compute (HPC) geospatial systems. As part of Lockheed Martin’s Sensors and Global Sustainment Geospatial Technology team, the successful candidate will provide design recommendations, documentation, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of Lockheed Martin development systems and environments including HPC systems across various customer environments, working within an integrated product team (IPT) to deliver cutting-edge geospatial solutions to government and commercial customers. The role requires account administration, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system-wide software and management of mass storage. The position is in Greensboro, NC and requires full-time on-site presence.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage team’s compute environment including HPC
• Support design, deployment, and maintenance of customer compute architectures
• Manage corporate intranet policy and compliance implementations
• Support system administration of Windows/Linux computer systems
• Support capital planning and develop hardware refresh roadmap
Basic Qualifications:
• B.S. in Computer Science, or related degree, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in systems administration and support of client-server based IT architectures (professional certification may substitute as one year experience)
• Experience with RAID storage technologies
• Familiarity with automated approaches to configuring and maintaining systems
• Experience with network attached storage systems
• Experience with rack mounting hardware and wiring
• Must be capable of lifting equipment up to 50lbs
• Must be able to obtain a security clearance
• Good organization skills; able to balance and prioritize daily tasks
• Takes ownership of results
• Strong communication skills
Desired Skills:
• Extensive experience as a Linux administrator
• Extensive experience with Windows Server (AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy)
• Experience with parallel systems, parallel processing, parallel file systems
• Proficiency in shell scripting with languages such as Python, Perl, Korn, Bourne/Bash, Powershell
• Familiarity with High Performance Computing (HPC) environment and related technologies
• Familiarity with power and cooling requirements for server room equipment
• Experience with system hardening (DISA STIG)
• Experience with applying patches and building custom kernels as required to implement functionality or address security concerns.
• Experience with Infiniband or Omni-Path high speed fabrics, including subnet management, IPoIB and/or IPoOPA mechanisms, fabric topology and health monitoring and integration with MPI
• Experience with RDMA communications (InfiniBand and OmniPath).

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
