HR Operations Specialist (Contract) 

 

Job Summary 

 

u00B7      The HR Ops Specialist is responsible for supporting day-to-day HR operations and providing specialized expertise to specific functional teams within the organization. They ensure the effective execution of HR processes, compliance with policies, and support for Employee lifecycle activities across various business functions. HR Ops Specialist will be placed within specific teams within HR Operations.  

Responsibilities 

u00B7      Ensure accurate and up-to-date Employee records, including personal information and employment status

u00B7      Update and manage HR Information Systems (HRIS), maintaining data integrity.

u00B7      Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires and manage offboarding tasks for departing Employees

u00B7      Assist with ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.

u00B7      Collaborate with payroll and benefits teams to ensure accurate processing of Employee changes and issue resolution

u00B7      Assist with communication and implementation of HR policies, ensuring Employees are informed

u00B7      Serve as a first point of contact for Employee inquiries, providing timely and effective responses

u00B7      Prepare and generate reports on HR metrics such as compliance metrics, team productivity, and other necessary reporting needs

u00B7      Support efforts to streamline HR processes and identify areas for improvement

u00B7      Assist with audit preparation, ensuring documentation and compliance records are up to date

u00B7      Process data and employment verifications to complete clearances and ensure appropriate checks are conducted for Employees in various job classes by reviewing job qualifications and requirements to ensure the necessary documentation is acquired  

u00B7      May perform other job duties as directed by Employees Leaders

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 

u00B7      Knowledge of applying compliance regulations, and other regulatory requirements to complete daily work

u00B7      Knowledge of legal requirements related to employment screening, I9 verification, and data security

u00B7      Knowledge of principles and processes for providing Customer and personal services, including Customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of Customer satisfaction

u00B7      Skilled in giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times

u00B7      Skilled in understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making

u00B7      Skilled in collecting, organizing, visualizing, and assimilating data, including turning raw data into meaningful information

u00B7      Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (including finding a relationship among unrelated events)

u00B7      Ability to produce unusual or clever ideas about a given topic or situation, or to develop creative ways to solve a problem

u00B7      Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, ensuring all onboarding processes are completed on time.

 

Required: 

u00B7      Required: High School Diploma or GED 

 

 

Experience: 

u00B7      Entry level experience, developing skills and knowledge in: HR Disciplines, principles, practices and policies

u00B7      HR Operations (i.e. Absence Management, Compliance, Pre-Employment, and Quality Assurance)  

 

Licensing/Certification: 

u00B7      N/A 

 

Physical Abilities: 

u00B7      Ability to perform work duties from [limited space workstation/desk/office area] for extended periods of time 

u00B7      Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job 

u00B7      Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job 

 

Other Qualifications: 

u00B7      Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines 

u00B7      Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986 

u00B7      Must be at least 18 years of age 

u00B7      Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines 

 

Pay 

u00B7      Competitive market rate from $39.00-$49.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. 

 

Assignment Length 

u00B7      This contract is a 6-month assignment, and the duration may be modified based on business need. 

u00B7      Pay amount doesnt guarantee employment for any particular period
