What is the position: The Initial Operating Evaluation (IOE) Scheduler is a direct support role for crew resources department to ensure all flight crews are scheduled and have completed all Operating Experience (OE) in Initial and transitional training.
Essential Functions
- Know and understand the information outlined in the Scheduling Manual: CFR 117/121 and all contract requirements for duty, rest, and minimum required time in IOE
- Responsible for scheduling all initial, recurrent, and transition training events for Pilots and Flight Attendants
- Responsible for notifying and scheduling all crew members due for checking events
- Ensure all appropriate forms are entered in the crew records management system ensuring timely grading
- Create and distribute IOE schedule assignments for IOE scheduling and recurrent events First Officers, Captains, Line Check Airman, Flight Attendants, and the FAA
- Manage hotel and travel reservations for flight crew when necessary
- Communicate IOE assignments to internal departments
- Coordinates and schedules operation experience events
- Assist in covering sick calls for Line Check Pilots keeping training intact
- Attend all training meetings
- Track, trend, and report progression while in IOE
- Complete FEAT; Fatigue Education Awareness Training Annually
- Accountable for Safety Management System SMS responsibilities
- Assists with special projects as assigned by management
General requirements & qualifications:
- At least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Fluent in the English language, both written and spoken
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Satisfactory 10-year background history, including criminal background
- Intermediate computer skills including MS Office
Physical Requirements:
Sedentary Work
Exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body, sedentary work involves sitting most of the time and walking /standing occasionally
Visual Acuity:
Includes inspection, close assembly, clerical administrative; This is a minimal standard for use with those whose work deals largely with preparing and analyzing data and figures, accounting, computer, extensive reading.
Environmental Conditions:
Inside environmental conditions; protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
