Job Description:

Barnes has an exciting and career building 6-month opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our Information Technology team as Intern, Information Technology. If you are a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, you are encouraged to submit your resume for further consideration.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support all PC workstations throughout the organization and provide technical support to the user
  • Lead PC replacement plan project for local division(s)
  • Support local telephone and voicemail system.
  • Daily maintenance and problem resolution via Corporate Helpdesk, operating system patches and software upgrades, and routine hardware configuration.
  • Participate in key projects related to security, OS upgrades, active directory and other network/data center improvements in compliance with IT security standards and policies.
  • Able to assess current needs and requirements and develop roadmap for solution(s).
  • Support the end user with Office 365 & MFA application(s).
  • Create / Disable Active Directory accounts and e-Mail accounts

Qualifications:

  • Strong project management and attention to detail with the ability to multi-task on a wide variety of duties and projects
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage ambiguity and demonstrate results
  • Time management and planning skills to meet critical deadlines
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent computer skills required including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Customer service skills/experience is a plus
  • Collaborative and a team player

Education Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university as a sophomore or above, pursuing a bachelors degree or in a masters degree program studying Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, or another closely related field of study.
