A position of IT Operation Specialist has just been opened within Airbus India for Information Management (IM) for Airbus Programmes, Customer Engagement & Services. Our mission is to deliver and contribute to innovative IT solutions that support their digital transformation and efficient operations in front of our Airlines customers. 

You will join the Technical data dispatch product in charge of the applications portfolio allowing Airlines customers to their maintenance documentation. 

You will be part of the team in charge of operational activities to secure the run operations and project deployment. In this context, your main task is to manage all run activities of a set of applications with end-to-end accountability, applications 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, depending on the needs and their associated environments. 

 

The candidate will have to learn the architecture of Technical Data Dispatch Portfolio and its functional in Airbus ecosystem and context to support Airbus businesses. 

You will be operationally attached to the IM India organization supporting the Technical Data Product Service Line (based in Toulouse). 

Travels to France (Toulouse)  are likely to happen for your mission based on project or operational needs.

Must have skills:

  • Bachelor/ Master Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or relevant field with 5 -7  years of total experience in Information Technology

  • Capacity to understand technical and operational Systems (Linux servers, Database, monitoring …) in order to operationally support  the  applications 

  • Good Knowledge of ITIL management (incidents, changes, problem solving, root cause analysis …)

  • Manage escalation process in case of crisis situation 

  • Experience in IT deliveries and services 

  • Experience in run operations and service-level agreements (SLAs) management

  • Good communication and collaborative skills and a team-minded attitude

  • Capacity to understand and learn functional technical data dispatch applications 

  • Advanced level of English

  • Capacity to be proactive to propose solutions 

  • Quick learner who can learn a new technology/skill/application

  • Good skills in customer satisfaction

Good to have skills:

  • Already experienced working in remote with colleagues based in EU is a plus

  • Experience in project management,

  • Good knowledge or experiences in the following technologies 

    • System : Linux redhat, Windows, Storages 

    • Languages : Java, Batch

    • Database : Neo4J, ElasticSearch, Oracle ,Postgre

    • Monitoring : Kibana, Logstash, Splunk

    • Automation : Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible, Tower 

    • Cloud & containers : AWS and openshift

  • Capacity to translate complex technical issues into solutions and assess potential impacts

  • Experiences in test automation 

Responsibilities

Support operational activities to secure Technical data production in time and Incident management at the level expected (SLA : 99.5, Mean Time To Resolve incident < 4.3 days,...) 

Ensures the provisioning of new software packages and upgrades on obsolescence topics

Maintains the infrastructure in operational condition in line with OLA/SLAs, Certificates renewal, Password management and Licenses update

Monitors and tracks system performance against negotiated service-level agreements (SLAs).

Communicates improvement, updates and obsolescence management of products to the IT Product Manager and applications owners

Provides support 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, depending on the needs of the company and the use of automated scheduling and remote monitoring (optional)

Performs the ITIL based support processes that include incident, problem, change, configuration, and event management.

Analyzes console messages, diagnoses system failures and takes corrective action in order to ensure continuity of operations, escalating to other technical teams and vendors as needed.

Check, manage and report on daily basis incidents raising on the application landscape of Technical Data dispatch applications and Technical data publications, in relation with L2 support or L3 development team.

Follow IT changes, tests, and Data Request process related to incidents scope

Supervises system backup processing, and leads disaster recovery tests Identifies and implements technologies and processes that improve the reliability, efficiency and availability of the systems environment.

Support projects deployment : 

  • Ensure infrastructure delivery and readiness in line with project planning

  • Perform non regression testing 

  • Perform move into validation and move into production of techdata dispatch applications according to project planning

  • Prepare Entry into Service prerequisites : operational documentation (ORS), setup of monitoring (SRS) in relation with monitoring infrastructure team, Knowledge base update, 

Develop and manage applications deployment tooling (ansible …)

Define and implement Test automation 

Monitor infrastructure / applications , propose improvements  and update documentations accordingly (ORS and MRS)

Follow and analyze IM Change board decision to anticipate potential risks or problems

Report to local technical team leader from Airbus India and to the TechData Dispatch product Owner (HO DCTC), and applications owners

  • Ability to understand the business potential of applications and provide insight to internal clients

  • Bring innovative and effective solutions by proposing operational and technical improvements

  • Ability to support project deployment with delivery of infrastructures (setup and tuning), Entry into service preparation, application deployment and 

  • Ability to challenge the needs of IT project leaders and provide appropriate solutions in line with Airbus standard and security requirements. 

  • Be engaged inside PSL techdata success, collaborative and innovative

The role will have the following key outputs:

  • Ensure that Operational documentation are well updated (Knowledge management)

  • Ensure that all operational reporting (Kpi on incidents …) is update and well communicated

  • Ensure that communication is done regarding ongoing operational issues

  • Strong link with the Airbus IM organization

  • As a self-organized team, strong collaboration with the Airbus Dispatch team based in Toulouse

  • Proactive in providing guidance & inputs for the operational roadmap

  • Ensure project deliverables on time, quality and cost of all steps of the project

  • Ensure that Security, Cyber Security, Export control and Airbus standards are well taken into account in all operational and project activities.
