airBaltic is looking for an IT System Administrator to join the team of experts supporting broad range of IT systems, applications and technologies. The focus of the position will be on Network and Infrastructure administration. The role occasionally will require work outside of regular office hours to ensure business continuity.
We will entrust you to Install, configure and support parts of following IT infrastructure:
network hardware and related software, e.g. routers, switches, WiFi, firewalls, VPN, RADIUS servers and others
SAN and NAS storage and related software
data center infrastructure, racks and physical servers
server virtualization platforms and hypervisors
cloud and hybrid cloud infrastructure
Use automation tools for infrastructure configuration according to infrastructure-as-code principles
Ensure maintenance of an appropriate level of documentation for supervised systems
Perform regular system updates
What you will need to succeed Good understanding about OSI model and protocols in IP/Ethernet network stack
University degree in Computer Sciences, Mathematics or related field
3 or more years of experience in IT system administration and/or network administration
Knowledge on any aviation related IT technologies
English language skills
As an advantageExperience with any of the following
infrastructure-as-code and automation tools (Ansible, OpenTofu, Terraform, Gitlab, etc.)
containers (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, etc.)
AWS, Azure or GCP cloud infrastructure administration
server virtualization technologies
server or network monitoring solutions
Windows or Linux server administration
SAN or NAS storage technologies
scripting or programming in any language or environment
Basic understanding about core Microsoft technologies
