Job Description:

POSITION PURPOSE

The Inflight Data Analyst is primarily responsible to maintain inflight data and provide ongoing data analysis, processing and reports to support the Flight Attendant Advanced Qualification Program (AQP). The Inflight Data Analyst develops reports and dashboards to be used by the Inflight Department. This position may also support other analysis duties and general administrative duties to support the Inflight Department.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Leads the collection, auditing, analysis, and reporting of Flight Attendant data
  • Develops and maintains training dashboards utilizing Power Bi
  • Knowledge and experience with various data processing and reporting packages, such as (Business Objects, etc.), databases (SQL, Access, etc.), and programming (XML, etc.)
  • Provides training and support to Instructors and Evaluators for grading calibration
  • Audits monthly data and ensures required data is submitted to FAA accurately and on time
  • Compiles, presents, and organizes data for required quarterly and annual reports for the FAA
  • Consolidates data from various sources and creates clear, concise, meaningful reports and dashboards
  • Create data visualizations to display trends and assist the department in making data driven decisions
  • Develops and delivers presentations regarding data trends for Inflight management and regulatory agencies
  • Provides technical input for development of computer systems used for collection, analysis, and reporting of Flight Attendant proficiency performance data
  • Assist in auditing training programs for compliance with FAA, DOD, TSA, IOSA, and other regulatory agency requirements
  • Maintain expertise in 14 CFR Part 121 and other applicable regulations pertaining to Inflight.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to perform this job.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with Data Collection and Management Software/Tools (i.e Excel, Numbers, PowerBi, SQL, etc.)
  • Experience with MS Office Suite Software
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to effectively present information to large groups

PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Working knowledge of FAA, OSHA, and other governmental regulations pertaining to training
  • Advanced knowledge of the FAA Advanced Qualification Program
  • Experience in a quantitative or qualitative field providing data analysis for business operations
  • Experience and knowledge of FAA CFR 14 Part 121 regulations
  • Experience and knowledge of Advanced Qualification Programs (AQP)
  • Experience working and communicating directly with government agencies and industry organizations (i.e., FAA, RAA, A4A, etc.)

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.


REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY

Possess strong analytical skills. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Strong evaluation and troubleshooting skills.

Makes decisions to support strategic decisions. Decisions have impact across and outside of the organization. Able to plan, direct and organize training programs and courseware in accordance with relevant Company manuals and Federal Regulations.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Able to climb, balance, stoop or crouch up to 10 of the time. Able to sit for long periods of time. Capable of lifting or moving items weighing up to 75 pounds. Able to hear verbal communications in person, on the telephone and over a headset. Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.

This position requires the ability to work near moving mechanical parts up to 10 of the time. This position may be considered to be remote.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Travel up to 10 of the time, including nights, weekends, holidays and overnight stays.
