Junior Treasury Analyst
We are seeking a highly skilled individual to join our team as a Junior Treasury Analyst, supporting the Treasury Manager and Senior Analyst in the day-to-day Front Office operations for the UKs largest airline. Your responsibilities will include executing and providing strategic input for multi-billion dollar FX and commodities programmes, managing liquidity positions across USD, EUR, and GBP in alignment with Treasury Policy, ensuring all trades are recorded accurately in the Treasury Management System, conducting daily funding activities in accordance with Treasury Policy, and keeping the team and key contacts informed of crucial market news and updates. Additionally, you will be tasked with maintaining strong working relationships with key banks and internal teams. What you’ll be doing:
In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring FX, Jet Fuel, and Carbon hedging requirements, ensuring execution within Treasury Policy and at the lowest cost of execution. Additionally, you will oversee the monitoring of short-term investment maturity reports and cash flow forecasts, trading accordingly to maximize cash returns through Money Market Funds, Deposits, and Repo. Daily Funding dealing requirements will be managed as per instructions from the internal Banking Team. Furthermore, you will provide support to the Treasury Manager and Senior Analyst on various project work and regulatory reporting, while also handling various ad-hoc Treasury-related tasks as needed.
What you’ll need to do the role:
We are looking for a recent graduate with a strong passion for financial markets to join our team in the Front Office. Basic knowledge of different financial products such as forwards, swaps, and options would be advantageous, as well as experience with Bloomberg and strong Excel skills. The willingness to study for professional qualifications such as ACT, CIMA, or CFA is highly desirable. Additionally, we value candidates who are adaptable and open to flexible working arrangements.
