Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking Logistic Support Specialists to join our team in Chantilly or Springfield, VA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Processes incoming/outgoing shipments and identifies discrepancies
  • Escalates critical issues to the appropriate level and engages with the correct stakeholders
  • Leads coordination and confirmation of receipt/shipping documentation for internal/external customers
  • Serves as point of contact for prioritizing incoming/outgoing shipments
  • Develops solutions to mitigate errors
  • Transports material and delivers within the local metro area in a variety of non-commercially rated vehicles
  • Must have the ability to operate various material handling equipment; manual and electric pallet jacks, various classes of forklifts, electric carts (training will be provided)
  • Performs stock retrieval and put away processes
  • Performs inventory counts and maintains accurate inventory records in SAP warehouse and inventory management system
  • May provide support to various Supply Chain functions such as inventory audits, event support, and office moves

This position is expected to be 100 onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. Security Clearance with an adjudicated Counterintelligence or Full Scope Polygraph (U.S. Citizenship Required).  (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.).

Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years’ experience with warehouse or logistics operations
  • Customer support or customer service experience
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Capable of lifting up to 35lbs on a frequent basis

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 4+ years’ experience with warehouse or logistics operations
  • 7+ years’ experience with warehouse or logistics operations
  • Experience with supply chain services
  • Experience operating forklifts and electric pallet jacks
  • Experience operating box trucks

Typical Education/ Experience:

Level B:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate).

Level C:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years related work, Bachelor, etc.).

Level D:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 7 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+5 years related work, Bachelor+2 years related work, etc.)

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range:

Level B: $48,000 - $54,000

Level C: $55,000 - $62,000

Level D: $62,000 - $85,000
