Job Summary
The Cirrus Marketing team is seeking a highly creative, detail-oriented Marketing and Communications Copywriter who is ready to apply their communication expertise to support internal and external communications initiatives. This role will be responsible for crafting compelling, on-brand human-written content across multiple channels to support Marketing and Communications campaigns, brand storytelling, process development and customer engagement. The Marketing and Communications Copywriter will have a strong understanding of audience, brand voice and Marketing objectives.
The Marketing and Communications Copywriter will report to the Manager, Public Relations.
Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions
- Develop brand voice, tone and style
- Write or work collaboratively with teams to develop clear, persuasive and engaging copy for Marketing and Communications materials, including:
- Website copy and landing pages
- Brochures and price lists
- Social media posts and captions
- Email marketing campaigns and newsletters
- Advertisements (digital and print)
- Product and service offering descriptions
- Media scripts
- Event messaging
- Byline thought leadership articles and more
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop integrated campaigns
- Ensure all content aligns with brand voice, tone, and messaging guidelines
- Edit and proofread content to maintain high quality and accuracy
- Conduct research to understand products, target audiences and competitors
- Optimize copy for SEO and performance metrics when applicable
- Revise content based on feedback, data insights and campaign results
- Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Hold ongoing messaging and strategy meetings with the team
- Candidates must craft original copy. The use of ChatGPT or other generative AI tools for drafting content is strictly prohibited.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English required
- 4-7 years of experience as a Copywriter, Content Writer or similar role
- Expert writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences and platforms
- Understanding of marketing principles and digital content best practices
- Knowledge of SEO and content optimization is a plus
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities
