Description:Bonds a variety of dissimilar materials (composite, metal, or laminate) assemblies, parts, skins, components, equipment or structures into semi-finished or finished products.

Lays out articles, cuts parts or materials to size. Applies liquid or solid bonding agents.

Operates autoclave, hydraulic presses and ovens to complete bonding cycle.

Controls conditions of heat, pressure, and timing by setting and operating various controls according to the specifications for the materials and the bonding agent being used.

Sands, burrs and smooth over areas, apply sealing resins to cut or exposed edges. Monitors and verifies quality of finished product.

Completes repairs on composite, metal or laminate bonded products using inspection and rework instructions. Verifies quality of finished product.

Performs bonding of metallic or non-metallic materials to fabricate parts and/or repair applications using products and processes which are varied but generally not complex in scope. The level of work performed requires some skill and experience.

Complies with written work instructions as well as standard procedures and processes to perform tasks.

Must read and interpret drawings, manuals, specification sketches, job orders, planning documents and engineering drawings.

Determines equipment requirements and the methods and sequences of operation to be followed in fabrication of parts using materials such as graphite, fiberglass, plastic, boron, flock, at, epoxy resins, rubber and like materials.

Plans, lays out, and fabricates and builds adhesive bonded assemblies of metallic and non-metallic composite materials.

Fabricates composite and metal parts into subassemblies for the purpose of pre-fitting in preparation for bonding or curing in presses, ovens, and autoclaves.

Lays out, pre-fits, assembles and performs lay-up on a variety of metal to metal and composite bonded assemblies.

Fits core in where close tolerances are required for installation of details for completion of assembly.
- Performs vacuum bagging.

Lays out and marks dimensions and references lines on material to develop and trace patterns of product or parts, or uses templates.

Selects tooling and materials compatible with the processing techniques identified in the work instructions.

The individual is required to be a supportive member of Environmental Safety & Health (ES&H) and Quality System policies to provide a safe work place and eliminate conditions and behaviors which may cause work related illnesses and/or injuries while delivering quality product and services on time.
Basic Qualifications:
- Candidate must possess specialized training in specific aspects of job functions and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks, with 3 years of professional career experience.

- Ability to follow written and oral instructions

- Ability to read and interpret instructions from OEM drawings

- Knowledge and experience with lean and continuous improvement philosophies and methodologies preferred.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
