The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mid-Level Information Security & Governance Specialist to join the team in Huntsville, AL.
The selected candidate will ensure National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) programs are in adherence with NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, National Security Council actions, and other on-going cybersecurity expectations.
Position Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with the Information System Owners (ISOs) on the development, maintenance, and tracking of the System Security Plans (SSPs)
- Coordinate required documentation and/or artifacts required to support the SSPs
- Provide continuous monitoring
- Software evaluation, incident handling, and policy communication to system users
- Manage the Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms) and Risk-Based Decisions (RBDs)
- Conduct required self-inspections and support preparation for our NASA Customer
- Conduct third party assessments of Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) devices across multiple sites, as required
- Engage in NASA Information Technology (IT) and Cyber compliance forums to understand NASA expectations
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information protection, risk management, and/or Information Technology (IT) compliance
- 3+ years of experience working on NASA programs
- 3+ years of experience as an information system security officer (ISSO)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 1+ years of experience in implementing Splunk and audit Log scripting for continuous monitoring of system logs
- Experience working in the NASA Risk Information Security Compliance System (RISCS) system
- Experience building relationships with internal and/or external customers
- Current access to NASA facilities and IT systems

Summary pay range: $105,400 – $142,600
