The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mid-Level System Administrator to join the team in Berkeley, MO or Hazelwood, MO.
This individual will play a crucial role in integrating logistics, manufacturing, and engineering into a cohesive ecosystem. You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of a secure network that supports all tools and, more importantly, the personnel involved in this mission.
This role directly supports our Air Dominance (AD) programs. You will be tasked with installing, operating, securing, and maintaining the dedicated Program Information Technology Infrastructure necessary for delivering products to our customers. We offer Enterprise capabilities within closed networks, encompassing standard office functions, application development stacks, engineering workflows, vulnerability remediation, and more.
Position Responsibilities:
Perform Windows System Administration of servers and workstations
Perform software build and configuration of Windows Servers and Windows Workstations
Provide basic network support
Create, maintain, and perform administration of VMware virtual server environments
Perform administration and configuration of block based storage
Install, configure, and maintain systems hardware, software and components
Support end users and interface with engineers, project managers, and Information Technology (IT) Management
Manage file systems, disk storage allocation, and data backup and recovery
Create and maintain Windows user accounts, groups, and file security access lists
Configure and maintain security audit logging on all systems
Implement and monitor security patching, operating system (OS) upgrades, and application upgrades
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Current CompTIA Security+ Certification
3+ years of experience in performing hardware installation, modification and testing
3+ years of experience implementing software
3+ years of experience with Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems (Server 2016-2022 Windows 10)
3+ years of experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering current Windows Server 2016 - 2019 and Desktop Operating Systems - Windows 10
Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering current Windows Server 2022 - 2025 and Desktop Operating Systems – Windows 11
Willing to work flexible hours, including on call support as needed (including weekends and holidays)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience designing & implementing Windows Systems
3+ years of experience troubleshooting operating system and installation problems
3+ years of experience with a broad range of basic systems and application support
Experience with commonly used Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID) levels and storage concepts
Experience following standard installation procedures for applications and operating systems
Experience supporting and managing Windows information systems in a Risk Management Framework (RMF), Joint Air Force-Army-Navy (JAFAN), Joint SAP Implementation Guide (JSIG), National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) Chapter 8 environment
Experience hardening systems in accordance with RMF and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
Experience with maintaining/configuring Active Directory (AD) to include applying domain group policies
Experience with scripts to automate deployment and configuration of operating systems
Experience creating and maintaining virtual servers and networks using vSphere Suite (7.x or higher)
Experience evaluating and effectively communicating complex system problems and resolution
Experience integrating security solutions (Trellix, Splunk, Nessus) into information systems
