Job Description:

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented NDT Coordinator to join our team at a 145 Repair Station. The NDT Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all non-destructive testing (NDT) activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, customer specifications, and organizational standards. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, technical knowledge of NDT methods, and the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities:

  1. Scheduling and Planning:
    • Coordinate the scheduling of NDT inspections, ensuring alignment with production schedules, customer requirements, and regulatory deadlines.

Work closely with production supervisors, project managers, and other stakeholders to prioritize and plan NDT activities.

  1. Resource Management:
    • Coordinate the allocation of resources for NDT inspections, including personnel, equipment, and materials.

Monitor resource availability and utilization to ensure optimal efficiency and timely completion of inspections.

  1. Documentation and Record-Keeping:
    • Maintain accurate records of NDT activities, including inspection reports, certification records, and compliance documentation.

Ensure all documentation is complete, up-to-date, and in compliance with regulatory requirements and company procedures.

  1. Quality Assurance:
    • Collaborate with quality control personnel to ensure NDT inspections are conducted in accordance with established procedures and standards.
    • Participate in quality audits and inspections, addressing any non-conformities and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  2. Communication and Coordination:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding NDT activities.
    • Facilitate communication between NDT technicians, inspectors, project managers, and customers to ensure alignment and timely resolution of issues.
  3. Requirements:
    • Proven experience in NDT coordination, scheduling, or project management within a 145 Repair Station or aviation maintenance environment.
    • Familiarity with NDT methods such as penetrant testing (PT), magnetic particle testing (MT), ultrasonic testing (UT), and Eddy Current (ET)
    • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, including FAA regulations, EASA standards, and industry best practices
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse teams and stakeholders.
       
  4. Other: May be required to work at both Marana, AZ and Tucson, AZ locations as business needs dictate.

     

     

    Duties not listed within the position description may be required of the employee at the discretion of the department management. Job functions may vary due to irregular working conditions or multiple shift positions.

 

Job Requirements:
  1. Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in aviation maintenance or related field
    • Certification or training in NDT methods and techniques.
    • Experience using aviation maintenance software systems for scheduling, documentation, and quality management.
