Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Experienced and Senior Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Quality Test Specialist who has NAS 410 or equivalent level II certifications in Ultrasound method to join our Composite Fabrication team in West Jordan, Utah.

Candidate may be selected for 1st or 2nd shift.

A successful candidate in this role will develop, conduct and/or improve and correct non-destructive inspection or test techniques, methods and processes. They will also analyze data and documents and communicate their recommendations to their respective manager.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Guides the development or improvement of non-destructive inspection or test techniques.
  • Develops, deploys and implements tests or inspections and data collection techniques utilizing evolving technology.
  • Develops program specific non-destructive testing documents.
  • Develops and implements processes and procedures for new or revised non-destructive testing methods.
  • Audits, validates and approves systems and techniques of suppliers and processors.
  • Develops certification training and examinations.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • NAS 410 or equivalent level II or higher certifications in Ultrasound method.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1+ years working with Automated NDT inspection equipment.
  • 1+ years working with composite material.
  • 1+ years of experience in Eddy Current (ET) and Dye Penetrant (PT).
  • 1+ years with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • 1+ years of experience with data analysis and/or data mining.
  • Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced role with strict deadlines.
  • Experience working both independently and in team environments.

Typical Education/Experience: 

Experienced (Level 3);

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor + 1 years related work experience, 5 years related work experience, etc.).

Senior (Level 4):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 6 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor + 4 years related work experience, 8 years related work experience, etc.).

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range for Experienced: $75,900 - $96,600

Summary pay range for Senior: $89,100 - $113,400
