In Kansas City, Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T) manages and operates the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administrations (NNSA) Kansas City National Security Campus. This state-of-the-art engineering, manufacturing, and sourcing facility produces a wide array of intricate components to deliver trusted national security products and government services primarily for the NNSA. Honeywell FM&Ts culture of integrity, commitment and continuous improvement enables them to deliver responsive, collaborative, and innovative management and technology services and products that translate into cutting edge solutions to complex national security issues.

Defines and develops complex programs and/or procedures written in a variety of programming languages for machining and inspection applications. Maintain vericut simulation software. Supports numerical control equipment procurement through development, testing and implementation. Assists with process engineering functions as needed.

Basic Qualification Needed to be Qualified for the Role:

  • Minimum of four years of N/C programming experience on various types of N/C equipment and demonstrated ability to independently manage N/C assignments or projects. Knowledge of CNC machining and inspection processes.
  • Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related degree or two additional years of direct work experience in N/C equipment programming in lieu of a Bachelors degree.
  • US citizenship in order to obtain and maintain US Dept of Energy "Q" level security clearance.

 

Additional qualifications that the ideal candidate would possess:

  • Experience as a machinist
  • On-machining probing
  • 5-Axis Machining
