Make a Real Impact in a Fast?Growing IndustryAs an OSP Construction Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting major telecommunications construction projects. Your work ensures that field activities are executed safely, accurately, and on schedule—ultimately helping deliver essential connectivity to communities and customers. This position is ideal for someone who thrives outdoors, excels in coordinating with cross-functional teams, and takes pride in precision and compliance.
What You’ll Do (Day-to-Day Responsibilities)You will support OSP construction activities from planning through completion, including:
- Work closely with the Coordinator/Manager and the OSP Engineer to ensure project alignment
- Apply strong knowledge of OSP construction standards, practices, unit descriptions, and SSP contract requirements
- Ensure adherence to state, local, and company safety standards
- Support permitting processes such as Work Zone Protection (WZP) and Traffic Control Plans (TCP)
- Manage project scheduling and ensure timelines are met
- Conduct pre?construction and post?construction site inspections
- Utilize the JIM process as required
- Maintain accurate reporting, including timesheets, invoicing, and as?built documentation
- Participate in pre?construction meetings and coordinate field activities
- Investigate and document plant damages
Required Qualifications- Strong knowledge of substructure and conduit design (REQUIRED)
- Minimum 5 years of combined Outside Plant construction and splicing experience
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy materials
- Willingness to work overtime, take periodic night/weekend on?call shifts, and adjust schedule as needed
- Occasional overnight travel
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications- Strong working knowledge of OSP construction standards and unit descriptions
- Familiarity with utility permitting processes (WZP, TCP)
- Experience coordinating with engineering, contractors, and field personnel
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
- Ability to manage multiple field activities while maintaining accuracy

Pay Details: $45.15 to $48.03 per hour
