We are seeking to hire a Technical Training Coordinator for our Huntsville office.

The Technical Training Coordinator is responsible for administration and expansion of training and qualification systems that meet AS9100 certification and support site requirements for safety, quality and productivity. The role will maintain and create training matrices, administer systems and maintain compliant records. This position requires professional judgement and complete working knowledge of technical standard, theories and concepts.

Essential Functions

80 - Training portfolio management – Evaluate site training needs for team member development and work with departments to ensure cross-trained and signed-off personnel

20 - Course development and presentation – Work with subject matter experts to develop course content and standardize delivery and evaluation

Requirements

High School diploma and seven (7) years of related expereince. Bachelor’s degree preferred in technical, human resources or L&D and experience managing training systems. Experience in Engineering, Manufacturing or Industrial setting preferred.

  • Support Operations leadership in assessing and identifying training needs
  • Coordinate and/or deliver trainings and courses, both technical (hands-on) and procedural (classroom) in nature
  • Communicate with and support operations leaders in managing training plans and records
  • Communicate with and support operations leaders by formulating and executing plans to close training gaps in the workforce
  • Coordinate the creation and implementation of new training plans and matrices with the onboarding of new operations programs and the continuous improvement of existing programs and training plans
  • Work with technical experts to build training documents and courses
  • Coordinate and schedule training events with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage non-confidential documents and employee records
  • Keep training systems and databases updated with highly-detailed record and database entry, tracking and reporting
  • Work within the company’s Learning Management System recording, tracking and reporting learning activities across the Site, as well as partnering with Enterprise resources to create new training events in Rocket University
  • Other duties as assigned

Requires U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency or other status as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit for extended lengths of time and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 15 pounds; may require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
