We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bells High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold tilt-rotor.

This position is onsite at Bells Fort Worth Logistics Center (3200 High River Rd Fort Worth, TX 76155).

Supply Chain and Logistics

Bring your expertise and innovative ideas to create solutions across the enterprise along with internal and external customers that optimize packaging processes and materials. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, to analyze product specifications and determine the best packaging methods. This role will involve evaluating and improving packaging designs, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, and supporting audits to maintain adherence to standards. You’ll also contribute to process optimization and continuous improvement projects, leveraging data analysis to drive efficiency and cost savings. This position offers the opportunity to develop your technical skills while working closely with leadership and stakeholders to deliver impactful results.

What you’ll be doing as a Packaging Specialist

  • Provide solutions to employers or customers on efficient packing procedures, innovations in packaging materials, utilization of sealing and fastening devices and audits for methods requirements adherence.

  • Analyzes and interprets engineering drawings and specifications to determine physical characteristics of items, special-handling and safety requirements, and type of materials required for container.

  • Consult with establishments purchasing and production departments to determine costs and feasibility of producing proposed packaging.

  • As business needs require, coordinate with customers and sales representatives to facilitate creation or modification of contracts.

  • Provide configuration management of basic material templates in support of contract requirements.

  • Collaborate with DCMA (Defense Contract Management Agency) to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.

  • Study, evaluate, analyze and implement process optimization through continuous improvement project management efforts based on customer requirements, business objectives, and lean process development.

  • Monitor current operations to ensure organization is efficient; Use data analysis for leading projects to identify and implement improvement techniques in cost capital planning, space, etc.

  • Be responsible for metrics and analytics, including master data development and maintenance.

  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Skills You Bring To this Role

  • Proficient user of Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, etc).

  • Ability to prioritize work and problem-solving skills with a team player mindset.

  • Strong analytical skills processing large amounts of data are required.

  • Excellent communicator, both written and oral.

What you need to be successful

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or related field. Related degrees with relevant experience will also be considered.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience within packaging, logistics, and/or data analysis
