With bases in Bethel, Emmonak, Dillingham, King Salmon, Cold Bay, Dutch Harbor, Kenai, and Anchorage, Grant Aviation provides scheduled air transport of passengers, cargo, and mail, as well as air ambulance and charter service. POSITION: Payroll / HR SPecialist
As a Payroll - HR Specialist reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will serve as a critical part of our HR team. You will be responsible for all payroll-related tasks, to include collecting and reviewing employee information and working hours, calculating wages, preparing and processing employee payments, and maintaining accurate payroll records. The successful Payroll / HR Specialist must be able to investigate and resolve payroll issues and ensure strict compliance with company and regulatory standards. An outstanding Payroll / HR Specialist should also be dedicated to customer service both to internal and external customers.

Life on the Job
The HR team works primarily from our offices on the south end of the Ted Stevens International Airport. This position will typically work Monday through Friday. Occasional work from home opportunities may exist after initial training. Our culture puts high value on in-person work arrangements, so you will thrive in a busy office environment with plenty of direct interaction with your teammates.
Day to day work will initially be focused on getting to know your team and our internal customers. Youll meet operations leaders and begin to understand our operational processes in addition to the Payroll and HR functions youll administer. We value teamwork, information-sharing, cross-training, and coverage for each other, and believe that facilitates a solid understanding of the company as a whole and the departments processes and procedures.
This is a new position in our team and there is opportunity to shape the role to best align skills, aptitudes, and interests so all HR team members are using their talents and applying their passions. Long term, we expect the department to further expand, providing opportunities for advancement within the team. This means we will work with you and all members of the team to identify skills and aptitudes to grow your career along with the department.

Minimum requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum five (5) years combined experience working in payroll or a similar role required
- Education related to the essential functions and duties will be evaluated for relevance in place of or supporting experience

- Lifting modest payloads (rarely over 25lbs)
