As a Material Planner I, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the seamless flow of materials throughout the product lifecycle. This entry-level position will allow you to gain experience in material planning, supply chain management, and manufacturing processes. You will collaborate with various teams to meet production and delivery schedules, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.
Responsibilities:
Support multiple program planning efforts by coordinating material requirements across various aviation projects.
Maintain and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to inventory, supplier performance, and material availability.
Create and manage Manufacturing Orders and Purchase Requisitions to ensure timely procurement of aircraft parts and components.
Track and report on material status, shortages, and delivery schedules through regular status updates, reports, and participation in meetings.
Perform accurate data entry and maintain up-to-date records of material transactions, inventory levels, and order processing.
Collaborate with suppliers, maintenance, and engineering teams to resolve material issues and prioritize critical needs.
Support other duties as assigned to ensure smooth material planning operations.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field of study.
0-2 years of experience in a related field.
Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 4 years of related experience is required.
Basic understanding of ERP/MRP systems.
Exposure to the engineering change process.
Basic understanding of master production planning.
Basic understanding of Supply Chain Management and Logistics.
Familiarity with applicable manufacturing drawings.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Familiarity with Costpoint and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Essential Functions:
Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs regularly.
Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
Requires standing for a significant portion of the work shift.
Ability to work in a noisy manufacturing environment.
Occasional travel may be required.
Must be able to work in an office or hybrid environment.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $59,000.00 - $77,541.82. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
