The Sr. Planner/Buyer will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing of spares material in both new and used serviceable condition in accordance with customer direction. The Sr. Planner/Buyer will also be responsible for management of subcontract vendors to maintain and improve repair turn times, manage repair costs and update PO information as required via quotes and daily status reports. The Sr. Planner/Buyer will also be responsible for regular data maintenance on open or overdue actions related to PO’s and quarantine materials and returning material to vendors due to quality related issues.

- Recognizes and understands flight/product safety critical parts and processes.
- Responsible for immediately reporting flight/product safety concerns.
- Participates in proactive risk analysis of flight/product safety critical parts and processes.
- Recognizes and understands the Just Culture policy.
Specific Accountabilities:
Basic Qualifications:
- 4 + years of experience with strong planning, organizational, analytical, negotiation, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience working with PCs and operating system.
- University bachelor degree in business administration; or equivalent.
Desired Skills:
- 4 + years of thorough knowledge of inventory control systems.
- 4 + years of experience working in manufacturing environment.
- Working towards or already hold an appropriate certification (PMAC, APICS, CPM, or CMA).
