About the positionWorking closely with operational leaders, frontline teams, and enabling functions, the Process Improvement Project Specialist identifies process challenges and opportunities, maps current and future-state workflows, develops implementation plans, and ensures successful execution and adoption of improved processes. This position manages the full lifecycle of business process change initiatives — from scoping and planning through execution, change management, and post-implementation review. The role is centered on structured, time-bound initiatives that address known operational pain points or strategic process redesigns.

Duties and ResponsibilitiesMust be able to perform, but not be limited to, the following duties and responsibilities:
Lead and Manage Business Process Projects
- Plan, execute, and deliver structured, time-bound initiatives that improve operational processes across cargo and airport operations — ensuring alignment with department goals and measurable outcomes.
Analyze and Map Operational Workflows
- Work with stakeholders to identify process pain points, document current-state workflows, and design optimized future-state processes that enhance efficiency, consistency, and service delivery.
Develop and Execute Implementation Plans
- Build actionable project plans, define milestones and deliverables, and manage resources and risks to ensure timely, practical execution of process changes.
Engage Stakeholders and Drive Change Adoption
- Collaborate with frontline teams, operational leaders, and enabling functions to build buy-in, deliver communication and training plans, and support change adoption at all levels.
Monitor, Measure, and Sustain Improvements
- Track project performance against defined success metrics, conduct post-implementation reviews, and ensure improvements are embedded and sustained in daily operations.
Ensure Compliance with Safety and Regulatory Standards
- Integrate safety protocols and regulatory requirements into project planning and execution, maintaining operational integrity and compliance.
Skills and QualificationsInclude, but not limited to, the following minimum skills and qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Diploma or degree in Business, Aviation, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience leading or coordinating complex operational initiatives.
- Strong operational acumen, ideally with experience in a logistics, airline, field service, or similar environment.
- Demonstrated experience in project management (formal training is an asset but not required).
Preferred:
- Project Management Training or Certification, such as:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) – PMI
- Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) – PMI
- Airline or Airport Operations Training, such as:
- Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) Certification
- Ground Operations Safety Training (e.g., IATA Ground Operations Manual familiarity)
- SMS (Safety Management Systems) Awareness Training
Skills:
- Strong planning and execution skills; able to manage multiple priorities and adjust to operational realities.
- Excellent communicator, able to bridge operational and management perspectives.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, time-sensitive environments with shifting priorities.
- Able to translate broad goals into practical, actionable work plans.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic project planning tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Excel, or MS Project).
