Project Scheduler
25.30 - 33.95 per hour
Morson are currently recruiting for a Project Scheduler to support US Defense programs for one of the UK’s largest defence specialists. You will report to the US Programmes (USP) Master Scheduler to maintain programme master schedules in compliance with local governance and US Government legal requirements. The projects will be engineering focused so we’re ideally looking for an experienced scheduler who has worked on mechanical or electronic engineering projects.
The role is being offered on a 12-month contract, with interviews taking place in early January. Based in Samlesbury you will be expected to be onsite at least 3 days a week. We can pay a rate of 25.30 per hour PAYE or 33.95 per hour Umbrella inside IR35.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain programme schedules for engineering projects.
- Updating status against master schedules and updating the baseline as required in line with EVM.
- Work alongside the Master Scheduler to manage any deviations to project schedules.
- Check schedules against UK and US project governance guidelines.
- Undertaking schedule health metrics as per DCMA requirements.
- Update schedule narrative packs.
Requirements
- Experience of scheduling an engineering project.
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management and able to apply principles to a project.
- Experience in working to UK and US regulations.
- Experience in using schedule toolsets especially Open Plan Professional or Microsoft Project.
- Confidence in representing scheduling requirements in meetings.
- Active security clearance would be desirable.
- Experience in Schedule Risk Analysis is a bonus.
Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance
