Position Summary
- Help drive the strategic pricing initiatives for the division, collect competitive sales data, and proactively quote and maintain the divisions nonstandard exception pricing.
- Make pricing recommendations where necessary within guidelines keeping up to date with current spanet trends and aid in the profitability of the division.
Scope/ Supervision and Interaction:
X Does Not Have Direct Reports
- Reports to the Division Strategic Pricing Manager. Does not have supervisory responsibilities. Will directly support the Pricing Department, Product Managers,
- Field/Inside Sales and distribution channels.
Responsibilities
- Daily quotation of the nonstandard product lines.
- Maintain a disciplined quote structure for nonstandard pricing. Review all requests for quotes and appropriately make decisions which will ultimately improve the profit levels of the division, taking into effect the current spanet situations and risk to the division.
- Maintains product knowledge not only with the divisional products but with our major competitors as well. Responsible for keeping competitive information up to date.
- Communicate effectively with all other departments, primarily Customer Service and Field Sales.
Qualifications
- BS in Business, Accounting, or Marketing preferred with 2 years or more years of experience in related fields.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Must maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping pricing information confidential
