Job Description:

 
Alpine Air is currently seeking an Engine Trend Analysis and Reliability Specialist to be located at their Provo company headquarters site. The Engine Trend Analysis and Reliability Specialist will assist the Director of Regulatory Compliance and the Powerplant Department in the engine trend analysis and reliability processes. Administrative tasks include but are not limited to in-depth maintaining, auditing, and researching engine aircraft records.
 
Duties and responsibilities
 
The selected applicant will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties:
  • Process flight data through in-house programs to produce graphical trends for analysis.
  • Support engine monitoring programs.
  • Report engine data processing and evaluation.
  • Research aircraft and component hours/cycles.
  • Compile consistent and complete historical records of all aircraft, engines, propellers andrelated components.
  • Audit inspection documents for compliance with FAR 91.417 and FAA requirements.
  • Assist in preparation of materials and/or reports requested by other departments or the FAA.
  • Build aircraft inspections and components in tracking program.
  • Audit vendor work orders and 337s; verify all 8130s or work orders for life-limited and overhauled parts (both historical and newly installed parts).
  • Familiarize with aircraft, engine, propeller manufacturers’ limitations, SBs, Chapter 4, Chapter 5.Coordinate maintenance of historical and current files of aircraft maintenance log pages, 337s, AD’s, and work orders.
Qualifications
 
Qualifications include:
  • Preferred five years experience in all aspects aircraft and engine record keeping
  • Familiarity with Federal Aviation Regulations and OEM documentation
  • Excellent aviation maintenance knowledge
  • High attention to detail and administrative accuracy
  • Excellent proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Word (expert level)
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to deliver high quality documentation
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Must be able to type 50 WPM
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High school diploma required; BS/BA in administration or relevant field will be preferred
 
Working conditions
 
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, and heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually low.
 
This position is a Full-Time, 35-40 hours per week, in-office position. Compensation includes competitive benefits and 401k with generous employer match. Paid Time Off and eight (8) paid holidays per year are available immediately upon employment.
