Survival Flight Inc. is seeking an experienced Recruiter / HR Specialist to support full cycle recruiting efforts across the organization. This role partners closely with hiring managers and HR leadership to identify, assess, and refer qualified candidates while ensuring a professional and compliant hiring process.
This position is 100 in-office, full-time, and reports directly to the Director of Human Resources.
PROFESSIONAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Manage full cycle recruitment including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference checks, and offer coordination
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and position requirements
- Develop and execute effective recruiting strategies to attract qualified candidates
- Source candidates for hard to fill roles using job boards, referrals, social media, networking, and direct outreach
- Review resumes and employment applications to assess qualifications and overall candidacy
- Serve as the first point of contact for applicants, providing initial screening and communication
- Refer qualified candidates to hiring managers or leadership for next steps in the hiring process
- Participate in interviews to support hiring managers and assist with candidate evaluation
- Coordinateinterviewschedulingandmaintainconsistentcommunicationwith candidates
- Maintainaccurateapplicantandrecruitingrecordswithintheapplicanttrackingsystem
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and internal hiring policies
- Support onboarding coordination in partnership with HR team members
- Assist with job fairs, recruiting events, and community outreach efforts
- Prepare recruiting reports and metrics for HR leadership
- In office clerical duties eg; answering phones, filing, backing up other HR team members when needed
- Perform other HR-related duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional Staffing or HR experience
- Demonstratedexperiencereviewingresumesandconductingcandidatescreenings
- Strong interviewing, communication, and organizational skills
- Abilitytomanagemultiplerequisitionssimultaneouslyinafast-pacedenvironment
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, HRIS platforms, and Microsoft Office
- Abilitytowork100in-officeonafull-time schedule
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Recruiting experience in medical, healthcare, EMS, aviation, or emergency services environments
- Experience supporting safety-sensitive or regulated positions
- Familiarity with multi-state recruiting operations
- Experience collaborating with leadership and operational managers
WORK ENVIROMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Office-based role with prolonged periods of sitting, computer use, phone communication, and interviewing
Occasional travel may be required for job fairs or recruiting events
