Icelandair Technical Operations is responsible for the operation and oversight of maintenance of Icelandair aircraft fleet. Within the operations are highly skilled and ambitious teams of specialists, with safety & reliability as the primary focus.
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Report Analyst to join the Technical Software Governance team within Icelandair Technical Operations. The department is located at Icelandair’s maintenance facility at Keflavík International Airport.
Technical Software Governance is responsible for training, continuous improvements, and user support for key systems within Technical Operations. The person will work closely with department specialists, the Maintenance product team, and data specialists across other business units, with the primary goal of improving and simplifying the daily work of operations.
The role is diverse and challenging and offers the opportunity to be part of a highly skilled team focused on improving the use of Icelandair Technical Operations’ maintenance management systems, with the aim of simplifying day-to-day work processes. Strong emphasis is placed on ensuring that systems and data are reliable, well-structured, and easily accessible to support efficient decision-making and daily operations.
The workplace is located both in Icelandair’s maintenance hangar at Keflavík Airport and at the company’s headquarters in Hafnarfjörður.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate business needs into metrics, visuals, and standardized reports
- Develop data monitoring solutions to ensure data quality
- Analyze data when issues arise
- Ensure data definitions and KPIs are documented and consistent across teams
- Write ad hoc code for data extraction
- Test reports during system updates and releases
- Provide advisory support and collaborate with stakeholders
- Work closely with product teams and data specialists
- Act as the bridge between business users and technical data teams (e.g., data engineering).
- Perform other related tasks as required
Qualifications
- Relevant education suitable for the role
- Experience and knowledge of the aviation industry is an advantage
- Strong interest in process improvement and efficient ways of working
- Strong computer skills and interest in information technology
- Strong verbal and written skills in both English and Icelandic
- Knowledge of SQL and databases
- Experience with Power BI
- Knowledge of Python, R, or another programming language
- Experience with dashboards is an advantage
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Positive, solution-oriented attitude
