Main objective is the continued development of the schedule along commercial and operational lines in accordance with corporate objectives for profitability, growth, competitive spanet position and customer experience.

Make adjustments to commercial schedule based on Commercial KPI’s such as YoY evaluations on RPM, ASM, Yield, RASM, and historical Flight ProfitabilityManage short- to medium-term schedule adjustments (3–300+ days) to meet or exceed commercial targets while maintaining operational integrity and maximizing overall network profitabilityEnsure network schedule integrity at all timesIdentify and incorporate commercial and operational requirements (e.g., asset changes, connectivity, maintenance, block time adjustments) into the schedule while preserving or improving network profitabilityDevelop operationally feasible schedules which minimize costs of delivery across all stakeholdersMaintain and optimize network connectivity and flight timings through effective schedule managementOptimize fleet assignment, utilization & manage available fleetEnsure seamless integration of regional airline flying in the planned scheduleMaintain strong interfaces and communicate requirements with operational & commercial groupsCoordinate with operational branches to optimize manpower planning requirementsSupport slot portfolio managementCommunicate and coordinate effectively with stakeholders across the organization
QualificationsAirline experience, including operational and commercial knowledgeExperience with aircraft scheduling or similar scheduling experienceAbility to rapidly grasp impacts of schedule modifications on overall networkInitiative in identifying schedule opportunities and threats and in implementing solutionsMastery of information technology tools such as MS Office automationKnowledge of scheduling tools such as Sabre Schedule Manager and other scheduling systems an assetLogical and analytical skills including the ability to question system outputs and to solve complex problemsPrioritization and time management skillsCommunication skills including the ability to resolve conflictsKnowledge of Air Canada financial and accounting concepts such as variable and fixed costs concepts and cost accountingAbility to work in a deadline driven environmentNegotiation skills and team playerUniversity degree an assetDemonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment
