Are you looking for an opportunity to use your production scheduling skills in a meaningful work environment that supports and protects explorers and heroes? Join our team! As a Scheduler I, you will develop basic schedules, material requirements lists and production plans, monitor production activity to ensure a smooth and controlled flow of materials, and troubleshoot potential scheduling problems. Youll also maintain records on production and material deficiencies and prepare work orders for production or purchase requests based on production schedules.

Plans and prepares production schedules for manufacture of products. Establishes sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates. Determines daily production schedules based on engineering plans, production specifications, capacity, availability of parts, and manpower requirements. Readjusts schedules according to production progress, change orders, or other delaying conditions. Coordinates with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects.

This role is open to a hybrid schedule 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, schedule and prioritize workflow to internal machine and Avionics shops for emergency and non-emergency work

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordinate, schedule and prioritize internal inspection efforts (i.e., final inspections, SOF inspection)
  • Negotiate due dates based on time required Work to resolve schedule conflicts with appropriate parties
  • Provide direction to Material Handlers and inspectors with regard to priority of materials and kit processing.
  • Manage on-time kitting to manufacturing
  • Maintain kitting status in database Communicate and facilitate to remove bottlenecks (missing inspection plans, open NCMRs)
  • Monitor, track and expedite NCMR processing for parts in kitting process
  • Control input and output of visual inspection
  • Responsible for maintaining planning parameters in Cost Point
  • Create and utilize reports to determine and manage schedule requirements Attend program kick-offs

Must-haves:

  • Bachelors Degree a related field and typically 0-2 or more years of relevant experience
  • Higher-level degree may substitute for relevant experience
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Familiarity with and understanding of basic manufacturing/production scheduling techniques
  • Exposure to scheduling software
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Preferred:

  • Previous operational flight management experience
  • Knowledge of both FAA and U.S. Military operational flight governing directives
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $52,118.00 - $71,662.25. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
