Summary
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will identify and scope business, and priorities through rigorous information gathering and analysis as well as clarification of the solutions, initiatives, and programmes to enable effective delivery. This also involves the development of a compelling defensible business case and the articulation of the potential impact of the solution to the business.
Responsibilities
Agile Product Development:
- Collaborate with product owners to create and maintain the product backlog using Agile practices.
- Develop user stories, define business-driven acceptance criteria, and support multi-disciplinary teams in delivering results.
- Conduct ARC’s (Architecture Review Committee) for design, cost, and IT security approval.
- Facilitate various Agile processes such as Iteration/Release Planning, Backlog Refinement, Retrospective, Sprint Review, and Daily Stand-ups.
Business Process Analysis and Improvement:
- Identify current- and future-state business processes, including opportunities for automation and transformation.
- Conduct in-depth analyses to validate detailed functional specifications and propose cost-effective solutions.
- Incorporate industry best practices to enhance business process productivity and outcomes.
Stakeholder Management and Communication:
- Align stakeholder expectations with organizational requirements and objectives.
- Act as the bridge between business users, IT teams, and external partners, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Ensure stakeholders are informed and trained prior to IT solution deployment.
Project Management:
- Manage project timelines, change requests, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
- Facilitate steering committee/product council meetings and document critical decisions, changes, and approvals.
- Conduct UAT, track issues, and ensure proper deployment processes and security assessments are in place.
- Ensure all project documentation, including solution designs and integrations, is comprehensive and complete.
Requirements
- A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with an ability to understand complex business processes
- Familiar with JIRA or equivalent project management tools
