The Boeing Company seeks an experienced Senior Business Continuity Specialist to join our team in Seattle, WA; Arlington, VA; Auburn, WA; North Charleston, SC; Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX; El Segundo, CA; Everett, WA; Huntsville, AL; or Mesa, AZ.
We are seeking a hands-on Business Continuity Risk Remediation Coordinator to own and drive remediation of continuity risk across a large multinational enterprise. This role partners with business leaders, IT, security, procurement, and third-party vendors to identify continuity gaps, develop pragmatic remediation plans, and facilitate leadership decision-making to reduce enterprise continuity risk. The ideal candidate is experienced in business continuity and risk management, adept at stakeholder facilitation, and comfortable managing remediation programs at scale.
Position Responsibilities:
Coordinate and drive end-to-end remediation activities for identified business continuity risks across business units, suppliers, and IT services
Facilitate leadership and cross-functional remediation meetings (working sessions, steering committees, status reviews) to prioritize actions, resolve escalations, and track closure
Translate risk assessments and continuity gap analyses into clear, actionable remediation plans with owners, timelines, and success criteria
Maintain a consolidated remediation tracker/dashboard, monitor progress, escalate as needed, and report status and trends to senior leadership
Collaborate with Business Continuity, Risk Management, Enterprise Resilience, Security, IT, Procurement, and Legal teams to ensure remediation plans align with governance, policy, and contractual obligations
Validate and document remediation evidence and closure artifacts, ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements
Support development and refinement of continuity risk assessment methodologies, remediation playbooks, templates, and operating procedures to increase program consistency and efficiency
Help configure and operationalize tools used to track remediation activity and evidence (GRC/TPRM platforms, ticketing systems, dashboards)
Assist in supplier remediation activities: negotiate corrective actions with vendors, validate supplier-provided remediation evidence, and escalate unresolved supplier risks
Contribute to training and communications for stakeholders on remediation processes, roles, and expectations
Assist in continuous improvement initiatives, applying lessons learned and metrics to reduce recurring continuity gaps and accelerate remediation timelines
Periodic travel may be required to meet with business units, suppliers, or attend program meetings
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years’ experience in business continuity, risk management, enterprise resilience, or a closely related function
Experience coordinating and driving remediation programs or corrective action plans across multiple stakeholders and organizational boundaries
Experience facilitating leadership and cross-functional meetings to make decisions, manage risk trade-offs, and drive action
Experience with business continuity planning, BCM frameworks, business impact analysis (BIA), and recovery strategies
Experience maintaining remediation trackers, prepare concise status reporting, and manage multiple concurrent remediation efforts
Experience working with third-party suppliers or vendors and tracking supplier remediation activities
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree in Business Continuity, Risk Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
Professional certifications such as CBCP, MBCI, CTPRP, CRISC, CISM, or other risk/continuity related credentials
Experience with GRC, TPRM, or ticketing platforms used to manage remediation and corrective actions
Experience with cybersecurity controls and regulatory frameworks (e.g., NIST SP 800-53/800-171, ISO 22301, ISO 27001) as they relate to continuity risk
Experience within a large multinational enterprise or highly regulated industry (aerospace, defense, financial services, healthcare)
Experience in process design, documentation, and automation to improve remediation workflows
Experience with project management or certification (PMP, Agile/Scrum) and comfort working asynchronously across time zones
Ability to influence and negotiate remediation commitments with distributed business and supplier stakeholders
Excellent verbal and written communication and stakeholder management skills; able to communicate technical and non-technical impacts to senior leaders

Summary Pay Range: $118,150 – $171,350
